I usually try not to do it on the last DAY, but oh well, our taxes are done. It's pretty complicated owning my own business and filing jointly! I'm going to try to be a lot better about tracking deductions this year, as I should have been able to claim many more deductions for things like conference travel, office supplies, and so on than I did. (I only claimed ones I could document.) As far as I can tell, though, since I don't do invoicing or anything, I really have no need for Quicken or anything like that. Spreadsheet files in NeoOffice should be just fine.

I need to track mileage in my car this year, which is going to be really irritating.

Anyway, three cheers for TurboTax! It's much better laid out than it used to be, and doesn't suffer from the horrible timeouts it used to experience close to tax time. I am curious as to whether the small business version has more categories for deductions, but it doesn't seem worth $37 extra (?!) to find out.
